Working in Mexico

Do you want to work legally in Mexico and earn money for you and your family?  A working Visa makes it possible.  Applicants can work once authorized by immigration. Jobs like bartender, waiter, and others similar is highly probably that they are denied. Bacause more mexican can do it. Immigrations gives preference to nationals. But jobs like chef, administrator, real state, sales, etc are more lilkely to be accepted.

Here it´s the process:

  1. The process starts in Mexico. The company that wants to hire you has to submit a petition to the nearest Immigration office close or in the city you expected to work.
  2. Once authorized, immigration will give a letter stating their approval and you have to go to the nearst Mexican Consulate for an interview taking this document to the appointment. In the interview they ´ll double check you the information. that you know where your going to work, your position, the payment you are going to earn, etc. If everything match they will stick a visa in your passport and you have six months to enter Mexico.
  3. Once you enter Mexico, you have to go to the Immigration office and exchange your visa for a Resident Card authorize for working (you can find more information in this blog “becoming a resident”.)
